Welcome to Karuizawa! Great Location to start your Trip! Karuizawa is a mountain resort at the foot of the active volcano Mount Asama in Nagano. It was first "discovered" and promoted as a mountain resort by Western residents of Japan in the late 1900s. There are a lot of summer house in Karuizawa. The mountain resort provides a pleasant escape from the summer heat. Thanks to the Nagano Shinkansen, it now takes little more than an hour to reach Karuizawa from central Tokyo. Bird watching in Japan ? Come bird watching in Karuizawa! At an altitude of roughly 1060 meters. Various outdoor activities, such as Bird Watching, tennis, hiking, trecking, cycling, golfing in summer and skiing, snow mobile, and snow activities in winter can be enjoyed in our pension. Also there are famouse outlet mall in karuzizawa. About 1 hour from Tokyo , and 1hour and half to NAGANO , Jigokudani Snow Monky Park a.k.a Gigokudani yaenkohen. Edohara Pension is located near the Yacho-no-mori Wild Bird Sanctuary and Picchio Visitors Center. 20min by walk from our inn, A lot of Bird watching customers choose to stay our inn. There are many famous birding sites in the area. Can See the Japanese Waxwing, Bohemian Waxwing,Copper Pheasant, Flying Squirrel and Rosefinch around our area. About rooms and staying • We have 9 Western style rooms (2, 3 ,4 person rooms. ) are clean and spacious and come with heater and air con. • We only have 2 rooms whitch have private bath(bath, shower, sink, toilet) in bed room. • Westarn style dinner and Breakfast are available all our staying plans. (Japanese foods Available for request.) • Home made bread with continental breakfast. • Reduce 2500yen off the price if you would not need a dinner. |
